THE OPERATIONAL CHALLENGE

By the time complaints arrive, congestion has often already formed.

Without a shared live picture, club teams react to calls, isolated observations, or guesswork. That costs time—and a waiting group can easily be mistaken for the cause.

01

Too little visibility

Scorecards and tee sheets show who started—not how play is currently moving across the entire course.

02

Action comes too late

By the time a delay is reported, checked, and located, it has often reached several groups behind it.

03

Symptom instead of source

The visibly waiting group is often only affected. Intervening in the wrong place creates frustration and does not resolve the bottleneck.

FROM VISIBILITY TO DECISION

One shared operating picture for the day in play.

GolfTakt combines live positions, target pace, and the movement of neighbouring groups into a clear operational priority for your team.

LIVE OVERVIEW

See the whole course without constantly asking for updates.

Participating groups appear anonymously on the course map. Managers see position, pace status, and developing bottlenecks in one current view.

AUTOMATIC DETECTION

Deviations become visible before they affect the whole course.

GolfTakt monitors actual progress against the configured target range and highlights relevant delays.

LIKELY SOURCE

Not every waiting group is the cause.

GolfTakt examines the delay chain and indicates where it likely begins. The operational decision deliberately remains with the club team.

REAL HOLE OVERVIEW

Every hole and participating group at a glance.

The hole overview anonymously shows which groups are on each hole, how far they have progressed, and their current operating status.

THE SIGNAL THAT MATTERS

The delay starts at the front. The frustration appears behind it.

A group can appear slow because it is waiting itself. GolfTakt places groups in course order and shows which group likely needs support—and which groups are simply being held up.

GolfTakt provides an evidence-based operational indication, not an automatic judgement. Managers and marshals retain decision authority.

ALERT TO RECOVERY

A clear workflow instead of disconnected reactions.

Every signal follows the same traceable process. Managers and marshals know what matters, who is acting, and whether pace is recovering.

MANAGERS AND MARSHALS

Everyone works from the same priority.

Managers see the overall situation and can hand an intervention to a marshal. Its status stays visible to the team—from the new signal through observed recovery.

  • With a marshalPrioritise, assign, and follow interventions.
  • Without a dedicated marshalManagers or club staff use the same view and act directly.
  • The club remains in controlGolfTakt supports decisions; it does not issue automatic sanctions.

QUESTIONS FROM CLUB MANAGERS

Practical answers before a demo.

GolfTakt is available as a demo and is in field testing. That is why we explain not only what the system can do, but also where human judgement and real course conditions still matter.

Ask another question
Does every player need an account?

No. Group participation requires no personal account. One person per group can start the anonymous session using the QR code.

Does every player in the group need to participate?

No. One suitable smartphone per group is enough. The location represents the anonymous group session, not individual player profiles.

Does GolfTakt replace a marshal?

No. GolfTakt does not replace experience or on-course communication. It helps prioritise attention and provides a shared operating picture for more focused action.

Can we use GolfTakt without a dedicated marshal?

Yes. A manager or another authorised club staff member can monitor the live view and act directly when needed. Roles are adapted to the club’s actual operation.

How does GolfTakt identify the likely source?

GolfTakt considers position, pace deviation, and the movement of consecutive groups. This indicates the likely beginning of the delay chain. It is an operational assessment—not an automatic judgement.

Who decides whether to intervene?

Always the authorised club team. GolfTakt prioritises information and supports the workflow; managers and marshals decide based on the situation on the course.

What technology do players and the club need?

Players can use the browser-based start or the public GolfTakt apps for iPhone and Android. They need a suitable smartphone, location permission, and a data connection. Club staff use the operations view on a suitable browser device.

What happens with weak GPS or mobile coverage?

Location accuracy and freshness can vary in difficult coverage. That is why these conditions are tested in the field. Club staff should always assess signals alongside their course knowledge.

How is player privacy protected?

Participation is anonymous and purpose-limited. Names, email addresses, and personal player profiles are not required for the group session. Location sharing is designed around the current round.

Does GolfTakt support 9 and 18 holes and shotgun starts?

Yes. Setup can be configured for 9- or 18-hole operation, regular tee times, and shotgun starts.

What is available today—and what is planned?

Browser-based player participation, live visibility, and operational workflows are available as a demo. The native player apps for iPhone and Android are published on the App Store and Google Play. Notifications on paired smartwatches are supported; native manager and marshal apps remain planned.
